If you made it to this page you must be curious in what it means to be saved, in a state of hurt and need something but you don't know what, confused with what you see around you in this world or just plain tired of running. No matter why you are here God is glad you are and so are we. First let me tell you a few facts about the Real God and his son Jesus.

1. (John 3:16-17) "For God so loved the world that he gave his one and only Son, that whoever believes in him shall not perish but have eternal life. For God did not send his Son into the world to condemn the world, but to save the world through him.

This eternal life, is a new quality of life "here and the hereafter", not an everlasting "this-life." Here the emphasis is on the fact that men judge themselves. The acquitted are those who have believed in Him; the condemned are those who have rejected Him.

2. (Rom 3:21-24) But now a righteousness from God, apart from law, has been made known, to which the Law and the Prophets testify. This righteousness from God comes through faith in Jesus Christ to all who believe. There is no difference, for all have sinned and fall short of the glory of God, and are justified freely by his grace through the redemption that came by Christ Jesus.

Righteousness refers (1) to God's character (John 17:25), (2) to the gift that is given to everyone who receives Christ (here and Romans 5:17), and (3) to standards of right living (Romans 6:18; 2 Tim. 2:22). The Old Testament scriptures testify to God's righteousness in places like Gen. 15:6; Ps. 7:8-13; Isa. 53:11. (This verse links justification to God's righteous servant, Jesus.)

Saying all have sinned literally means, the entire human race starting with Adam's sin. Falling short  indicates a continuing action. Sin is defined in 1 John 3:4 as lawlessness and here as lack of conformity to the glory of God. These ideas complement each other, since the law of God is an expression of His character.

To justify was a legal term meaning to secure a favorable verdict, to acquit, to vindicate, to declare righteous (Deut. 25:1). freely. As a free gift, "without +any+ reason" to be found in us (same word is in John 15:25). by his grace. Unmerited favor. It is an act of God (8:33), who takes the initiative and provides the means through the redemption that came by Christ Jesus. The sinner who believes in Christ receives God's gift of righteousness (5:17), which then enables God to pronounce him righteous. On redemption, see note on Eph. 1:7.

3.(Rom 10:9-10) That if you confess with your mouth, "Jesus is Lord," and believe in your heart that God raised him from the dead, you will be saved. For it is with your heart that you believe and are justified, and it is with your mouth that you confess and are saved.

Jesus is Lord. Lord, or Yahweh, is the Old Testament name for God; thus he who confesses that Jesus is Lord affirms His deity. These actions are simultaneous: one inward (heart) and the other outward (mouth).

So you see, God loves the Whole world so much that it hurt. He has provided a way back through his son Jesus. He is the Real Deal. That is all there is to being saved. The hard part is living that righteous life. But do not fear God has provided some help. The Holy Spirit who is there to guide us, convict us, gives us strength and power to overcome whenever we need it. There is no magic formula or prayer. Just ask God to forgive you through Jesus, believe in your heart that He is who he says he is and will do what he says he will starting with forgiving you of your sins and confess it to others.

One final promise through Jesus our brother from God our father:

Matthew 7:7-8 "Ask and it will be given to you; seek and you will find; knock and the door will be opened to you. For everyone who asks receives; he who seeks finds; and to him who knocks, the door will be opened.
